一、学科专业简介 / Brief Introduction of Discipline Area |
本学科创建于1986年,1999年开始招收研究生,是首批有权授予硕士学位的学科之一,师资雄厚、治学严谨,拥有全校设计实验大平台。本学科结合交大综合性大学的强大优势,以培养设计领域的引领者为目标。现有硕士生导师24人,其中教授/研究员6人,博士生导师2人,副教授/副研究员18人,有博士学位者超过5成。学科下设设计历史与理论、设计策略与管理、产品与交互设计、视觉传达与数字媒体艺术、环境与景观设计、公共艺术等研究方向。本学科与国内许多公司合作开发项目,成果累累,并与许多国际知名设计院校建立了广泛的学术交流关系,形成了人才培养与科研的合作机制。毕业生就业去向为大型外企、汽车等大型制造业、大型通讯类企业、大型专业设计公司、中小型设计公司及自主创业。 |
This master program was first established in 1986, starting to enroll graduate students in 1999, one of the very first in China. It specializes in fusing major innovation, training high-end designers, building integrated design and research platform. The department has 24 Graduate tutors, includes 6 professors, 2 Doctor’s tutors, most of the teachers hold a doctor’s degree in design. Our department of Design and Art is a hub for innovation at SJTU. Students and faculty in engineering, art, design, humanities, sciences and education areas find their ways here to solve the fuzzy front end problems. |
二、培养目标 / Academic Objective |
本专业硕士点主要培养具有较高的专业理论素养和扎实的实践能力的设计学高级专门人才,能开展具有较高学术意义或实用价值的设计与艺术工作,并有较强的创新能力和成果。本专业硕士点重视设计学与技术科学、管理科学、人文艺术、社会科学研究之间的整合。以现代设计思维方法和理论为核心。设计人、社会和技术等多个方面的知识基础,注重交叉型人才培养。学术型设计学硕士设置如下研究方向:设计历史与理论、设计策略与管理、产品与交互设计、视觉传达与数字媒体艺术、环境与景观设计、公共艺术。专业型硕士设置如下研究方向:视觉传达与数字媒体艺术、环境与景观设计、公共艺术。 |
We focus on preparing students to shape a sustainable future by helping our students develop a process for innovative solutions we call design thinking. It includes creative and analytical approaches and cross-disciplinary collaborations. The process will utilize a variety of inputs from different areas: methods from engineering and design, ideas from art, tools from social science and insights from business. Students will be taught the basic method, then personalize their own way, internalize it and apply to their own challenges with the help of our experienced faculties. The program aims at cultivating high-end art and design professionals in the following areas: Design History and Theory,Design strategy and Design management,Product and Interaction Design, Visual Communication Design and Art of Digital media,Landscape and Environmental Design,Public Art. |

全日制学术型硕士研究生学制为二年半; |
This is a full-time master’s program with the normal length of 2.5 years. |
四、课程学习要求 / Curriculum and Credits |
总学分≥32,,其中专业基础课限选6学分,专业前沿课限选6学分,专业选修课限选12学分。全日制工业设计工程硕士研究生学制为二年半;总学分≥32,其中专业基础课限选6学分,专业前沿课限选7学分,专业选修课限选12学分。全日制艺术(艺术设计)硕士研究生学制为二年半;总学分≥32,其中专业基础课限选4学分,专业前沿课限选5学分,专业选修课限选16学分。硕士生的课程学习原则上要求在第一年内完成。 |
Students are required to take at least 32 credits in total, including 6 credits for required basic courses, 6 credits for advanced courses,12 credits for professional elective course. Normally students should finish all courses except thesis course in the first 2 semesters. |
五、学术论文 / Academic Paper |
执行上海交通大学媒体与设计学院设计方向硕士申请学位所需成果认定办法。 |
It should follow the rules of SMD master's qualifications. |
六、学位论文 / Dissertation |
1、规范性要求:学位论文必须在导师的指导下由研究生独立撰写,并在答辩前一个月完成。学位论文的选题一般应符合本研究方向特征,要既具有一定的理论意义,又具有一定的实践意义;2、质量要求:论文撰写格式按照学校的有关规定执行。论文要求概念清晰、材料丰富、逻辑周严、分析深刻、观点创新。论文要包含相关研究课题的设计内容或艺术创作实践内容,并达到较高的学术要求。 |
The thesis should focus on the issues in the field of design, be in tune with the development of related disciplines, meet the standards of academic writing, and fully demonstrate the students’ creativeness and capacity in design theories and practices. Also, the thesis must be written independently by the students under the guidance of supervisors. It should be submitted before the final oral defense and reviewed by 2 peer professors. Some thesis will be picked randomly for Blind Review and sent to other universities for reviewing. |
